(SHOALS) – No one was injured when vehicle ended up in the White River after a person tried to launch a boat at the Shoals boat ramp.
According to Shoals Town Marshal Todd Eckert, around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday police received an emergency call reporting a vehicle in the water.
“The driver of the vehicle was launching a boat into the White River and it got away from him. A wrecker service has been contacted to recover the vehicle,” said Shoals Town Marshal Todd Eckert.
Emergency personnel from the Shoals Police Department, Shoals Fire Department, Martin County Sheriff’s Department, and Indiana Conservation Officers responded to the incident.
