Barbara M. Fish, 88, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020, at her residence.
Born October 25, 1931, in Martin Co., she was the daughter of Lester and Mary (Harp) Gerkin. She married Donald D. Fish on August 18, 1951, and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2012. She was a homemaker and a kind-hearted, gentle, most loving woman you’d ever meet.
Survivors include three daughters, Pam (Lee) Colglazier, of Campbellsburg, Karen (Jim) Murnane, of Oolitic, and Tracey Fish, of Bedford; two sons, Phillip Fish, and companion, Maria, of Waxahachie, TX, and Ronald Fish, of
Bedford; daughter-in-law, Gail Fish, of Oolitic; 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; her caregivers, Marissa Murnane and Cierra Ramey.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
her husband, a son, Gary Fish (by one day); a sister, Elsie
(Perry) Mullis; a grandchild, Chris, and a great grandchild,
Dason.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Mike Courtney officiating. Burial will follow in the Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 21 st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
