8th Annual Patriotfest Collects Food And Raises Money For Veterans In Need

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Ft. Harrison VFW Post #7119 alongside Patriots 4 Patriots are hosting the 8th Annual Patriotfest benefitting HVAF of Indiana, Inc. (Helping Veterans And Families) this Saturday, August 8th from Noon until 10:00 p.m.

The annual event serves as a food drive and fundraiser to support HVAF’s food pantry located in downtown Indianapolis.

The all-day outdoor event includes a benefit ride and poker run, car show, corn hole tournament, barbeque dinner, and entertainment by Shades of Black and John Frame & Friends.

Entry to the event includes a barbeque dinner and costs $10 cash and 10 non-perishable food items or $20 cash. Dinner will be served from 3:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. A drive-through drop-off station will be available for non-attending individuals to donate non-perishable food items.

Supporting the event each year, Bone Dry Roofing is the presenting sponsor of Patriotfest.

 “With so many events being cancelled, we have been looking forward to this fun outdoor event and are excited to spend the day with fellow patriots in support of veterans in need of a helping hand.” Said Ashlee Walls, Vice President of Advancement, HVAF. “Food and monetary donations received will go directly back to our veterans through HVAF’s food pantry and are especially helpful right now as donations are down and demand is up.”

COVID-19 safety precautions including social distancing will be in place to ensure the safety of all attendees.
