Obituary: Alice June Warner

July 5, 1923 – July 20, 2020

Alice June Warner, 97, of Loogootee, passed away at 1:30 AM on July 20, 2020 at her residence.

She was born July 5, 1923, in Washington, Indiana to James and Fannie (Neighbors) Blackwell. She was a 1941 graduate of Shoals High School and was a member of the Shoals Christian Church.

Ms. Warner is survived by her son, Jeff Warner of Loogootee and several nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Joseph Warner Untied States Navy; three sisters, Annabelle and James Queen of Shoals, Ethel and Johnny Radcliffe of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Louise and Ernest Sargent of Bloomington, formerly of Loogootee.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals.

Memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to the American Cancer Society.

The Queen-Lee Chapel of the Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the arrangements.
