Two Bloomfield Women Arrested On Burglary Charges

(BLOOMFIELD) – Two Bloomfield women were arrested and charged with burglary after they allegedly broke into a rural Bloomfield home.

Greene County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested 39-year-old Kristen Nicole May and 44-year-old Maria Dawn Von Tagen in mid-March.

The two deputies were dispatched to the home after a report of a burglary in process. The caller who is a relative of the homeowner arrived to find the two women in the house stealing items.

When police arrived they found May sitting inside a truck parked beside the grate and Von Tagen was walking away from the home along the road.

The women told police they had permission to take the items from the home from a friend who knew a man who cleared out homes that were abandoned or under foreclosure.

However, the homeowner told police he had not given permission to anyone to be on his property or take any items.

Police found numerous items from the property in the women’s truck.

The two women were arrested on charges of burglary and taken to the Greene County Jail. Both have since posted a $1,000 cash bond each and were released.
