Larry Michael Malott, 73, of Mitchell, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born January 14, 1947, in Salem, he was the son of Eli and Violet (Smith) Malott. He married Carole Ann Coots in 1971, and she preceded him in death on March 31, 2020.
Larry retired from the railroad and was a graduate of West Washington High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammy McVay of Campbellsburg; stepson, Greg (Lauren) Tolbert of Campbellsburg; grandchildren, Heather (Luis) Chavarria of Crane, Texas, Tiffany (Clifford) Pruett of Mitchell, Isaiah (Kelsey) McVay of Mitchell; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alicia Miller of Salem, Beverly Wheeler of Campbellsburg.
His parents; wife; stepdaughter, Tracy Jo Tolbert; grandson, Harley McVay; and sister, Martina Robinson, preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen.
