City of Bloomington to Launch Online Farmers’ Market

(BLOOMINGTON) – A new version of the Bloomington Farmer’s Market will utilize online ordering directly from vendors.

City officials say the online market is being finalized now and will help restore a sense of community and help vendors who rely on the income and provide fresh produce to community members.

Julie Ramey, City of Bloomington’s Parks and Recreation Department Community Relations Manager, says the website should launch soon and will allow consumers to search for what they want both by owner and product.

After ordering, shoppers will pick up items during a designated time slot based on their last name.

The Farmers’ Market will return to normal once the governor’s restrictions are lifted.
