(VEVAY) – Six people died in an early morning fire Saturday in Vevay.
One man was able to escape the blaze.
The fire started around 3 a.m. in the two-story house on Lewis Drive. The home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene.
The victims were found dead inside.
The Switzerland County Coroner’s Office is working to determine the identities of all six victims. Autopsies are scheduled for Sunday in Madison.
The Indiana Fire Marshal’s Office is working to determine what caused the fire. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
