Youth Can Experience Event All About Animals

(PURDUE) – Mark your calendars and sign up today for an exciting Experience 4-H event all about the animals.

4-H is Wild About Animal Conservation is an event that youth interested in animal conservation will not want to miss. 

Open to all Indiana youth in grades 6-12 (4-H members and non-4-H members), can Experience 4-H @ Purdue on Saturday, April 4th. This experience will begin at 9 a.m. at the Purdue Animal Science Research Farms-Aquaculture Research Lab with the fascinating Hellbender- aka North America’s largest salamanders. 

After the research farm experience parents/ guardians will transport youth back to campus. The late morning session will allow youth to learn about animal behavior with one of Purdue’s top animal behaviorists.

In the afternoon, Columbian Park Zoo will introduce youth to the various career opportunities and why conservation is important. Columbian Park Zoo will also be bringing some of their animals for a meet and greet activity. The fun will end the day around 3 p.m. 

The cost to attend is $20 per youth, which includes lunch and supplies. You do not have to be enrolled in 4-H to attend.
