
(BEDFORD) – An Oolitic woman was arrested after Bedford Police stopped the vehicle she was a passenger in and found drugs.
Bedford Police officers stopped the vehicle early Sunday morning at Q and 16th streets at 1:16 a.m.
“Stevens was a passenger in the vehicle stopped for speeding and an equipment violation,” says Chief Terry Moore. “The four individuals inside the vehicle appeared nervous and showed signs of possible drug use. A K-9 was requested for an exterior air sniff and gave a positive alert.”
While searching the vehicle officers found meth and drug paraphernalia amongst Stevens’ belongings.
Stevens was arrested on charges of possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
