Bedford Man Arrested on Public Intoxication Charges

(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man was arrested on Friday after Bedford Police officers were called to the area of 17th and L streets following a report of a man walking around talking to himself.

When police arrived at 5:39 p.m. they found a vehicle parked in a yard with the door open and a used syringe on the center console.

“A witness arrived and said the male that officers were looking for had been sitting in the same car,” says Chief Terry Moore. “Officers continued looking for the male and located him inside a shed.”

While speaking with 23-year-old Jesse Spicer officers saw him throw three syringes on the ground.

“Jesse had slow slurred speech and could not stop moving or control his movements,” added Chief Moore.

Jesse Spicer, of 1708 M St., was arrested on charges of public intoxication, and unlawful possession of syringes.
