Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility Announces Promotion

(PENDLETON) – Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility (PNJCF) and Warden Angela Sutton are pleased to announce the recent promotion of Carly Mixell from Security Threat Group Coordinator to Lead Investigator.

Ms. Mixell graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Public Safety Management. She began her career at PNJCF as a Youth Development Specialist in 2016 promoting to Correctional Sergeant in 2017. In 2018, Ms. Mixell again promoted to Security Threat Group Coordinator.

Ms. Mixell is a certified instructor for security skills and motivational interviewing. In addition, she is trained as a Quick Response Team member and a graduate of both the Reid Academy and the Investigations and Intelligence Academy.

Warden Sutton states, “Ms. Mixell has always been a valuable member of our facility in each role that she has held. We look forward to the skills and knowledge that she will bring into her new position.”
