(GREENE CO.) – A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Mattoon, Illinois man Wednesday in Greene County.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department report, 46-year-old Aaron Henigman was the passenger in a vehicle involved in a crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 42-year-old Jason Giberson of Worthington, was seriously injured and flown by a medical helicopter to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment.
Police say Giberson lost control of his 2006 Nissan Frontier pickup on County Road 100 South in the area of County Road 150 West. The truck left the north side of the road and struck a tree.
The Sheriff’s Office says an investigation of the accident is ongoing.
