(SEYMOUR) – Schneck Medical Center is hosting a car seat recycling event from 9 a.m. until Noon on June 15.
Do you have an old or expired car seat? Most caregivers are unaware that car seats have an expiration date. Unless explicitly listed, most car seats expire six years after their manufactured date.
The car seat recycling event helps to ensure expired seats are not reused or redistributed throughout the community putting other children in danger.
The car seats will be recycled at a secure location, preventing anyone from picking up and reusing them.
All you have to do to turn in a car seat is pull up behind the Don & Dana Myers Cancer Center, and staff will take the car seats.
