(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – The Indianapolis 500 weekend is officially here with Carb Day kicking off a packed three days of racing.
The day starts off with the Carb Day Final Practice at 11am followed by the Pit Stop competition at 2 p.m.
Thursday was Indianapolis 500 Media Day and pole-winner Simon Pagenaud explained why the Indianapolis 500 is completely different than any other race.
“It’s the type of speed here. Getting the pole is a testament to our speed. It’s obviously a very honorable title. I get to tell my kids I was the pole winner at the Indianapolis 500.”
