Housing Authority Board Discusses Emergency Repairs Needed at Hauck House

(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Housing Authority Board met Thursday afternoon to discuss some emergency repairs needed at the Hauck House.


Director of Bedford Housing Authority Bobbie Ames notified board members emergency repairs were needed to fix an exhaust pipe that runs from the boiler room to the outside of the building.
The total cost of the repairs will be between $10,000 to $20,000.
In other business:
Comprehensive Grant Management has applied for a Housing Urban Development grant on behalf of the Housing Authority.
A grant of $250,000 is being requested for some projects at Hamilton Courts apartments and Hauck House. The deadline for applying for the grant is in June.
Ames also updated the board on some remodeling and construction projects at the Hauck House.
The hiring process for a bookkeeper is still in progress. The advertising for the position is complete, and applications are being reviewed.
