Two Arrested On Drug Charges After Police Called To Walmart

(BEDFORD) – Two people were arrested after Bedford Police officers were called to Walmart about a possible shoplifter on Saturday at 6:11 p.m.

Officers spoke with 23-year-old Brittany Cornett. She mentioned that a male was waiting for her in the store parking lot.
Officers located the gold car while it was trying to leave the parking lot. The officers then stopped the car and spoke to the driver, 29-year-old Charles Wiley.
“Mr. Wiley gave officers several different names and dates of birth before they figured out his true identity and determined he was wanted on a warrant,” says Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore. “Our department K-9 was used on an exterior search of the vehicle, and the dog alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle.”
Officers located meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, legend drug medication, and supplies that would indicate dealing of drugs.
