Oolitic Man Arrested After Fight At Hideaway Lounge

(BEDFORD) – An Oolitic man was arrested after a report of a fight early Saturday morning at the Hideaway Lounge in Bedford.

Bedford officers arrived in the 600 block of M Street around 3 a.m. They spoke with a male victim who said he was injured by several males at the Hideaway Lounge about 30 minutes before calling the police.
The victim told officers he did know one of the males and identified him as 27-year-old Aaron Thompson.
“The victim said during the altercation he was punched and kneed by Mr. Thompson, ” says Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore. The victim suffered a bloody lip, swelling to his forehead, and complaint of pain. The victim signed a battery affidavit wishing to file charges.”
Officers went to the Hideaway Lounge and learned Thompson had left but lived at an address in Oolitic.
Bedford Police officers contacted deputies with the Lawrence County Police Department who went to the Oolitic address.
Officers found Thompson at that residence and transported him to Bedford Police Department.
During a police interview, Thompson said the victim had started the fight and denied hitting the victim.
Thompson was arrested on a charge of battery resulting in bodily injury.
