Indiana State Police Seize Nearly A Pound Of Pot During Traffic Stop

(WASHINGTON) – An Indiana State Police trooper seized nearly a pound of marijuana, morphine and $3,600 in cash during a traffic stop in Washington.

At 3:20 a.m. Trooper Jordan Lee spotted a 2002 Ford Ranger at Hart and 12th streets with a defective license plate light.
The trooper conducted a traffic stop and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the truck.
During a search of the vehicle, Trooper Lee found 435 grams of marijuana and 10 morphine pills and the cash.

Trooper Lee arrested 29-year-old Demencio Canchola of Vincennes on charges of dealing and possession of marijuana, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and maintaining a common nuisance.
