Indianapolis Man Injured in Accident on US 50 West

(MITCHELL) – An Indianapolis man was injured after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving on US 50 West near Woodsferry Road, Thursday night.


According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report, the accident was reported at 11:52 p.m.
Police say 60-year-old Kent Armstrong, was traveling west on US 50 West in a 2013 Chevrolet Express, owned by Ohio Security.
Armstrong told police a deer was in the roadway. He swerved to miss the deer and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, struck a utility pole and then a tree, stopping the vehicle.
Armstrong suffered a fracture or dislocation of his elbow or lower arm.
