(BEDFORD) – Today is the last day to register to vote in Indiana’s May 7th Municipal Primary Election.
Early voting begins Tuesday.
Anyone wishing to register to vote for the first time, change an address, or make a name change for the May 7th Primary Election may do so at the Lawrence County Voter Registration Office in the basement of the courthouse until 4:30 p.m., Monday.
Because there are no contested Democratic races, the election board opted to cancel the party’s primary advancing all candidates.
Early voting begins Tuesday in the voter registration office. Voters will need to show an Indiana driver’s license, an Indiana ID, a US passport, or other photo ID issued by the State of Indiana or the US Government.
Early voting is available Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Saturday voting will be April 27 and May 4 at the Lawrence County Courthouse and Emerson gym in Mitchell from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Officials ask that you use the Ninth Street entrance at Emerson gym
