(BROWNSTOWN) – The Jackson County commissioners plan to list the building that served as Jackson County Superior Court I for sale.
The building was closed when the court and the offices were moved in December to the Jackson County Judicial Center in Brownstown. Currently, officials use the structure to store the county’s voting machines and surplus furniture. The plan is to sell the furniture during a county auction at a later date.
The former court site sits on 1.97-acres at 1420 Corporate Way near Freeman Field Industrial Park. Rob Millman of Millman Realty will list the property. Officials have not disclosed the sale price.
The county will maintain the property until it sells.
