(MITCHELL) – Are you tired of the winter blues and ready to add more color to your life? The Burris-Hatfield PTO is partnering with Celebrations! to have a color run on Saturday.
There will be two races – a 5K and 1-mile fun run.
The 5K race will begin at 10 a.m.
The cost is $10 for students K-12 and $25 for adults, preregistration is required.
This fee is the same for walkers and runners and will increase by $5 if registering on race day.
The 1-mile fun run is for those elementary ages and under. The cost is $5. This race will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will not have a fee increase on race day.
Through a sponsorship with Celebrations! and Natasha Johns, at the end of the 1-mile fun run, will be an inflatable obstacle course.
After both races are concluded, there will be three inflatables set up for children in the community to use free of charge.

There is a need for volunteers to throw colored chalk at race participants, supervise for safety along the race routes, and help supervise when the inflatables are in use. If you are interested in volunteering, there is a signup genius link on the Burris-Hatfield PTO Facebook page.
The proceeds from the races will help fund activities and needs at Burris and Hatfield Elementary Schools.
