Lyme Disease Prevention Fair April 13

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana Lyme Connect will host a Lyme Disease Prevention Fair on Saturday, April 13, at the College Park Ministry Center 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. This event is free and open to all ages.


Governor Holcomb has proclaimed May 2019 as Lyme Disease Awareness Month. Come. Learn simple, practical, potentially life-saving preventive actions steps to help keep your family and pets safe. Dispel the myth that Hoosiers are not at risk for Lyme disease or other tick-borne illnesses. Takeaways, demonstrations, and hands-on activities for all. A children’s fun and interactive program to prepare children to be tick-aware without the fear.
A team member from Purdue’s Tick INsiders program, a local veterinarian from MedVet, and owner of Hamilton County’s Lawn Doctor will be present with displays and provide information on tick prevention in their perspective areas.Showing of the documentary Under Our Skin: Emergence.
Indiana Lyme Connect (ILC) is a non-profit 501c(3) organization seeking to support individuals with Lyme disease and related tick-borne infections-that is Lyme Borreliosis Complex-to educate the greater Indiana community about this often devastating illness, and to assist healthcare professionals to combat this public-health crisis.
