Sherry Aaholm, Cummins’ Vice President and Chief Information Officer, will serve as chair of the TechPoint board.
“Tech is intersecting most every part of our economy and state. I’m excited that our executive committee and board represents that breadth along with a remarkable caliber of individuals,” said TechPoint President and CEO Mike Langellier. “I’m also excited for Sherry’s board chair leadership. She leads a large tech organization inside a Fortune 150 company going through the digital transformation. That perspective will be really valuable as we chart the course for the tech community and accelerate our impact. She also has an amazing personal story that I hope more young women and professionals will hear and draw inspiration from.”
The TechPoint executive committee sets policy and operational direction and serves as a touchpoint to keep the organization on top of the current needs of the overall tech community.
“TechPoint is an impressive organization, a great partner to Cummins and the entire tech community,” she said. “I’m looking forward to being a part of what I know will be an exciting, even groundbreaking year that will bring Indiana further into the national spotlight as the place to be for business and for tech professionals.”
The 2019 executive committee members include:

  • Sherry Aaholm, chair, Cummins VP and Chief Information Officer
  • Scott Dorsey, Managing Partner at High Alpha, former co-founder/CEO of ExactTarget

  • Mary Kay Huse, COO of Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Shane Fimbel, CEO of South Bend-based Trek 10
  • David Johnson, Central Indiana Corporate Partnership Initiative President and CEO

Langellier thanked outgoing executive committee chair Scott McCorkle for his service.
“Scott has played an outsized role in some of Indiana’s biggest success stories and has been incredibly generous with his time and talent,” Langellier said. “He’s an extraordinary leader. We’ve all learned from and been inspired by him.”
Since its inception in 1999, TechPoint has supported the talent, capital, and promotional needs of Indiana’s tech sector and initially focused on tech product companies, tech service companies, tech infrastructure companies, and universities. In 2017 TechPoint expanded to include companies who rely on significant tech workforce to operate their core business operations. Last week, the organization announced staff growth needed to meet the expanding needs of the state’s tech ecosystem.
The larger TechPoint Board of Directors serves in advisory level positions. The board is comprised of executives from the nearly 90 top tech, tech-enabled and scale-up stage companies as well as universities and select service providers in Indiana. TechPoint member companies are predominantly Indiana’s largest tech employers, most promising growth companies, and most significant colleges and universities.
