D-Vine Wine & Beer Festival Nets More Than $18,000 For Individuals With Disabilities

(COLUMBUS) – Developmental Services, Inc.’s D-Vine Wine & Beer Festival netted more than $18,000 for individuals with disabilities. The 11th annual wine, beer, and spirits tasting event was held at the Commons in Columbus, on March 2.


“We had a very good day,” said DSI Development Officer Claire Hirsch. “We had a lot of support from community sponsors and volunteers and we added a few wrinkles this year to make the event more interesting and raise more revenue for DSI programs.”

Leah Elkins and her father Ron Elkins enjoyed an afternoon of tasting at the 11th annual D-Vine Wine & Beer Festival at the Commons in Columbus. The Columbus residents were among the 630 guests who helped DSI raise more than $18,000 for individuals with disabilities.
For the first time, VIP tickets were sold to approximately 90 of the 630 guests who sampled area wine, craft beers, and distilled beverages.
Developmental Services, Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 1975 and serves children and adults with disabilities. DSI services include early intervention, job training and placement, residential living options, Education and Enrichment, networking opportunities, family support and respite for care providers.
