IU Police Investigating Report Of Rape Outside Eigenmann Hall

(BLOOMINGTON) – Indiana University Police are investigating an alleged rape of a student early Sunday morning.


According to a third-hand account, the assault occurred around 1 a.m. when the victim was allegedly approached outside Eigenmann Hall, struck in the head, and then sexually assaulted.
The report was made to police by a friend of the victim because the victim did not wish to report the incident themselves.
An alert was issued not long after the assault warning students to stay away from Eigenmann Hall area as police searched for the male suspect.
No arrest was reported but officers will continue to patrol the area and investigate the incident but reminded the public to remain vigilant.
