(BEDFORD) – A Paoli woman was injured Monday morning after the vehicle she was a passenger in crashed on State Road 37.
According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, 21-year-old Adrian Chastain, of Mitchell, was traveling north on State Road 37 in a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer when she crossed the dividing lines into southbound traffic.
Police say Chastain overcorrected causing the vehicle to travel off the west side of State Road 37. The vehicle entered a ditch, traveled over an embankment and then struck farm equipment, a plow and snow plow located in a yard in the 600 block of State Road 37.
The vehicle then landed on its passenger side.
A passenger, 19-year-old Danyelle Lynd, of Paoli, was freed from the wreckage. She complained of body pain and was transported by ambulance to IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
