(BEDFORD) – A mail scam is targeting Lawrence County residents.
According to Lawrence County Recorder Myron Rainey, residents are receiving letters in the mail from a company offering residents a copy of their deed for $89.
“The same document is available for $1.00 per page if you need one,” Rainey says.
The documents are available at the Lawrence County Recorder in the courthouse.
