Nile Young – Bedford
February 2, 1939 – August 14, 2018
Nile Young, 79, of Bedford, died at 1:35 am on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born February 2, 1939 in Burkesville, KY, he was the son of Ress and Jewell (Roach) Young. He married Barbara Holt on April 29, 1961 and she preceded him in death on August 22, 1997. He had worked in local stone mills for twenty-five years. He and Barbara started Young’s Upholstery in 1971 and he continued the business after her passing. He enjoyed fishing and watching the grandkids and great grandkids grow.
Survivors include a son, Troy Young and wife, Jamie; three grandkids, Landon Young and wife, Calin, Lauren Wade and husband, Josh, and Elizabeth Baker and husband, Luke; four great grandkids, Lailyn, Della, and Geneva Young and Elijah Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a son, Gary Allen Young, and twelve siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 18th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Landon Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, August 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Kenneth Earl Wilson – Bedford
April 19, 1942 – August 11, 2018
Kenneth Earl Wilson, 76, of Bedford, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018, in Bloomington.
Born April 19, 1942, in Livingston, Tennessee, he was the son of William Elmo and Sally Essie (Langford) Wilson. He married Betty Marie McCormick October 18, 1964.
He was a minister at Bryantsville Church of Christ and manager at H&R Block. Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Betty M. Wilson of Bedford; daughter, Diana Kay Leader of Taylors, South Carolina; grandsons, Michael Paul Leader of Avon, Daniel Kenneth Leader of Greenville, South Carolina; three great grandchildren; brother, Billy (Wilma) Wilson of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Linda Carol (Allen) Terry of Livingston, Tennessee
His parents and son-in-law, Thomas Michael Leader, preceded him in death.
Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, at Bryantsville Church of Christ with Brother Greg York officiating. Burial will be in Bryantsville Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service.
