Gary Wray “Pretzel” Dixon – Bloomington
Bloomington-Gary Wray “Pretzel” Dixon, 64, of Bloomington, IN. died at 2:50 pm on Friday, April 17, 2015 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born January 3, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN he was the son of James L. and Dora Belle (Wray) Dixon. He married Sharon Kay Mills on October 22, 1993 and she survives. He was a member of the First Christian Church and had worked as a contract mail carrier for Sam Reese Trucking in Bloomington for over 30 years, and loved Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Bloomington; three children: Anthony Eugene Orr (Stephanie Browning) of Rose Valley, PA, Gregory William Orr (Amanda) of Evansville, IN, and Stephanie Kay Dixon and significant other Cameron Bough of Springville, IN; three grandchildren: Nolan Dean Orr, Tyler William Orr, and Abigail Jean Orr; two brothers: Mike Dixon and his wife Jovy of Bedford, John Dixon and his wife Bonnie of Bloomington; and one sister: Jo Terry and her husband Pat of Bedford, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one nephew, Josh Terry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 21st Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Danny Todd and Dirus Dustin officiating. Burial will follow in the Dishman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm on Monday, April 20th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
