Lois E. Douglas – Bedford
Lois Evelyn (Moore) Douglas, 88, of Bedford, passed away at 6:20 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at StoneBridge Health Campus, Bedford.
Born September 19, 1926 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Edward Moore and Bernice (Moore) Bobbitt.
She married Robert B. Douglas on October 17, 1943; he preceded her in death on July 20, 2009. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bedford. Lois had worked at RCA, both in Indianapolis and Bloomington, Indiana.
Surviving are one brother, Charles Carter Bobbitt, of Seymour; two sisters, Kathleen Anderson, of Bedford and Cynthia Annice Reynold, of Medora; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; one son, D. David Douglas; three brothers, Delbert D. Rodenberger, James E. Rodenberger, and William Lee Bobbitt; and step-father, Hugh W. “Peck” Bobbitt.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Bedford.
