James “Jimmy” M. Summer – Bedford
James “Jimmy” M. Summers, 53, of Bedford, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at 12:02 p.m. at White River Lodge in Bedford.
He was born in Lawrence County on October 13, 1961 to Bill and Mary (Edwards) Summers. Jimmy was a graduate of BNL High School and was self employed.
Jimmy loved to fish with his dad Bill, he was the best brother in the world, and he had a heart of gold. He will be sadly missed by his family, gone but not forgotten.
Surviving are his son, Tanner Summers of Bedford ,his mother, Mary Summers of Bedford two brothers, Lonnie Summers of Bedford and Billy Summers of Fayetteville, two sisters, Connie Harrison of Bedford and Rhea Dawn Summers of Bedford, several nieces and nephews
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Bill Summers, grandparents, sister, Donna Kay Summers, and brother-in-law, Ronnie Harrison
Funeral services will be on Friday October 31, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home. Friends may call on Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, burial will follow in Fayetteville Community Cemetery, Bro. Reno Bates is officiating
Roscoe James “Jim” Pavey – Bedford
Roscoe James “Jim” Pavey, 74, of Bedford, died at 8:30 am on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at I.U. Health Bedford.
Born June 8, 1940 in Bedford, he was the son of Roscoe James and Eula (Hardwick) Pavey. He married Elva Walls on October 24, 1969 and she survives.
Survivors include his wife, Elva, of Bedford; two daughters, Jamie Herzner and husband, David, of Oolitic and Tammy York and husband, Billy, of Bedford; grandchildren, Debbie Kreuzman and husband, Chris, Emily Livingston and husband, Forrest, James and Jeremy York; two brothers, Carl Pavey and Donald Pavey; a sister, Malinda Adcock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Heather Rose York and a brother, Wesley Pavey.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, October 31st at Patton Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jay Bennett officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from Noon until 1:30 pm on Friday, October 31st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
