Robert L. “Bird Dog” Kidwell – Bloomington
Robert L. “Bird Dog” Kidwell, 81, of Bloomington, formerly of Mitchell, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
Born July 16, 1931, in Mitchell, he was the son of Fed and Gladys (Nugent) Kidwell. He married Marilyn Price March 24, 1976. He retired from Mitchell Transport and was a member of Mitchell Masonic Lodge #228 F.&A.M. and Murat Shrine of Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Kidwell, Bloomington; children, Bobby Lee Kidwell, Missouri Vicky Kidwell, Maine Don Hollars, Mitchell, Michelle Taylor, Mitchell, James Hollars, Bloomington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; great great grandson; brother, Doug Kidwell, Brownstown
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Kidwell; and brother, Feddy Kidwell.
Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Becky Ryan officiating. Cremation was chosen and burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
