Barbara Joreen Burgess of Bedford passed away Sunday afternoon at Garden Villa in Bedford at the age of 80.
Born in 1928 in Lawrence County to Harry and Lena Mann, Barbara was a retiree from RCA in Bloomington and was a member of Bride of Christ Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband Dennis, daughters Latonia and Tamara, son Jeffrey, step-daughter Neva, sister Maxine, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Orland, Harry, Jess, Frank, Leonard, Hamer, Dean and Jack, and sisters Bertha, Jeanette and Beryl.
Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm at Bride of Christ Fellowship with burial to follow at Mitchell Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Chastain Funeral Home and again from 11:00am until time of service tomorrow at the church.
