Pedestrian Hit By Van West Of Ellettsville

(ELLETTSVILLE) - Monroe County Sheriff’s Office worked a crash scene at SR-46 in the vicinity of Stinesville Road west of Ellettsville.

(ELLETTSVILLE) - Monroe County Sheriff's Office worked a crash scene at State Road 46 in the vicinity of Stinesville Road west of Ellettsville. The crash involved a Vehicle
and Pedestrian.

On Wednesday at 9:58am Monroe County Deputies responded to a vehicle
crash on SR-46, in the vicinity of, Stinesville Road.

David Hugh Barger, 34 traveling westbound on State Road 46 ran off the roadway when his 1997 Dodge Caravan struck pedestrian Richard Buchanan, age 43, whom
was walking westbound off the roadway.

Buchanan was transported to IU Bloomington Hospital and is being treated for both legs broken and minor head injuries. He is listed in stable condition.

This crash is still under investigation and the driver David Hugh Barger was
incarcerated on the charge of "Possession of Precursors to Manufacture Meth,
Class "D" Felony.
