Teen Dies In Lake; Electrical Short May Be At Fault
(LAFAYETTE, IN) - Police say a Lafayette teenager died in a lake accident Sunday afternoon.
Four children were swimming in Lake Freeman at Angel Shore Resorts when they reported feeling a tingling sensation.
Three of them got out of the water, but a 13-year-old with the group fell back into the water as he tried to get out.
He was found face down by a boat lift.
Investigators haven't determined the cause of the teen's death, but they believe it may be related to an electrical short down by the boat dock.
The boy's name has not yet been released.
