Boy Found Dead In City Park; Teen Facing Charges

(RISING SUN, IN) - State police have arrested a suspect in the death of a 10-year-old boy whose body was found in a small wooded area near the city park in Rising Sun Sunday.

Ohio County Sheriff's Deputy Adam Ziegler found the body of Connor Conley of Rising Sun at about 8:15PM State Police Sergeant Noel Houze says a 17-year-old male is being held at the Dearborn County Juvenile Center on charges of causing serious bodily injury.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, investigators believe Connor died elsewhere and his body was moved to the park.

Sergeant Houze says the teen is also from Rising Sun, but it's not clear if Connor and the teen knew each other.

Investigators are awaiting results of an autopsy on the boy's body scheduled for Tuesday morning in Indianapolis before determining if more serious charges are warranted.
