Newborn Placed In Dumpster; Mother Arrested

(AUBURN, IN) - A 19-year-old Auburn woman has been arrested after police say she stuffed her newborn daughter into a plastic garbage bag and left it in a dumpster near her apartment.

Alison Lesch now faces an attempted murder charge.

The child was only a few hours old and is now in the custody of the Dekalb County Division of Family and Children.
