White Sox Defeat Royals In Opener At Kauffman Stadium

(KANSAS CITY, MO) - Mark Buehrle picked up his eighth win of the season as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Kansas City Royals in the opener of a four-game series at Kauffman Stadium. Buehrle went eight and a third innings, allowing a run on six hits to improve to 8 and 2.

Jayson Nix hit a solo home run and Scott Podsednik added an RBI single as the sox extended their winning streak to six games.

David Dejesus chased Buehrle from the game in the ninth when his one-out double plated Alberto Callaspo with Kansas City's lone run.

The Royals have lost three in a row.
