Vectren Opens Landfill-To-Electricity Facility

(WINSLOW) - Vectren has officially opened a landfill gas to electricity project in Pike County.
The Blackfoot Clean Energy facility in Winslow captures landfill gas from decomposing trash and uses it as fuel to power two generators.
It is expected to generate enough power for approximately 2,000 homes.
