Last updated on Monday, July 06, 2009
(UNDATED) - Work experience can be a great benefit to teens, but Indiana law strictly enforces how long and what type of work they can do.
The Indiana Department of Labor has launched a teen worker summer safety campaign aimed at informing employers, teens and parents on occupational safety and health hazards and child labor laws.
There are work-hour restrictions and prohibited occupations for various age groups.
