(INDIANAPOLIS) - More than 100 Indiana education and business leaders are gathering in Indianapolis today for a daylong math summit.

Indiana superintendent Tony Bennett says many jobs once pigeonholed as blue-collar now require what used to be considered college-level math.

Despite increased emphasis, Bennett says schools haven't kept up; he says three out of 10 freshmen at Purdue last year still needed help doing high-school level math.
