(STATEHOUSE) - Democrats’ version of a new state budget has passed the house on the expected party-line vote.

The house has now voted on three budget bills, two drafted by house democrats, and a largely senate-written deal which went down to defeat on the final day of the regular session.

No republican has voted for any of them.

Republicans accuse democrats of overshooting the spending target set by GOP Governor Mitch Daniels, and worsening the problem by passing only a one-year budget.

They count 858-million dollars in unavoidable increases in the missing second year for items like pensions, or in federal stimulus spending that would have to be replaced.
