Columbus Hospital Officials Celebrate 2008 Flood Recovery

(COLUMBUS) - Columbus Regional Hospital is marking the anniversary of the June 2008 flooding that closed the facility.
Governor Mitch Daniels joined Columbus Regional Hospital executives and local officials Friday to celebrate the recovery process.
The flooding caused more than 200 million dollars in damages.
Columbus Regional Hospital spokeswoman Denise Glesing says the facility is about 90 percent restored, with the dining pavilion and kitchen area yet to be moved back to the first floor.
The basement is also still in need of repairs.
Glesing applauds the Bartholomew county community for bonding together ensure patient safety and save the hospital.
