City Officals Hope New Hotel Will Bring Economic Development To Fort Wayne
(FORT WAYNE) - A new hotel in the heart of Fort Wayne hopes to bring economic development to the city.
City officials broke ground Monday on the Courtyard by Marriott hotel.
The new hotel is part of Harrison Square, a 130 million dollar development which also includes condominiums, retail and a new baseball park for the local minor league team.
The ceremony marks the official groundbreaking, but construction on the 250-room hotel has already begun.
The expected date of completion was pushed back from March of next year to August when developers had trouble receiving the financing to continue the project.
