Car Crash Ignites Fire Inside Church

(EDGEWOOD) - A collision between two vehicles sent one of the vehicles into a Madison County church, where it burst into flames.
Sheriff Ron Richardson says the flames spread from the 2000 Mercedes Benz and engulfed a wing of Bethel United Methodist Church in Edgewood.
Police say someone saw the crash and pulled the driver of the Mercedes to safety.
Fire damage is limited to a wing off the main building.
No one was inside the church at the time of the fire.
