Hoosier Burn Camp Takes Place This Week

(BROOKSTON) - The Hoosier Burn Camp is underway at Camp Tecumseh near Brookston.
Executive Director Mark Koopman says firefighters, doctors, nurses and adult burn survivors lead teen burn victims through a week of traditional camp activities like canoeing and crafts.
Campers also participate in group projects and confidence-building courses.
The camp is designed to help burn survivors feel comfortable around peers who have experienced the same trauma. It runs through Friday.
