(VALPARAISO) - A Kmart security officer faces a misdemeanor battery charge after allegedly putting a 15-year-old into a choke-hold until the teen went limp.

Police say surveillance tape showed Justin Remschneider putting the handcuffed teen in the choke-hold and then laying his limp body across several chairs.

Remschneider had been investigating the boy -- after he'd allegedly stolen six fishing lures from the store.

The boy was eventually charged with resisting law enforcement and theft.

Remschneider's arrest warrant was requested after police conducted several interviews and saw pictures of the teenager's neck.
