Asbestos, Other Violations Force Health Department Evacuation
Last updated on Thursday, September 04, 2008
(INDIANAPOLIS) - As a result of a court order, the Marion County Health Department will vacate the Timber Ridge apartment complex in Indianapolis this month.
Officials say the presence of asbestos, known to cause serious lung disease, including lung cancer, combined with a multitude of other code violations and the lack of progress to correct the violations, led to the court order.
